Elvine was founded by a successful graffiti street artist named Daniel Mänd in Gothenburg in 2001. Everything started when he opened his own streetwear fashion store and noticed a gap in the clothing industry. Inspired by his grandmother, Elvine Mänd who was a disciplined and respected seamstress during the second world war, Daniel wanted to produce clothing that both reflects Gothenburg’s unrefined street culture and is fabricated in the tradition of Elvine. High quality jackets and coats, as well as pants, shirts and accessories are among the portfolio of this young, but successful label. As a result, the robust designer jackets truly reflect the brand’s slogan: “sophisticated clothes for unsophisticated behaviour”.
