Frankie’s Garage is a bag label with cult status. Founded in New York in 1985, the bags became practically an insider over night among celebrities such as Tina Turner or David Bowie. Andy Warhol eternalized Frankie’s bags depicting them in some of his worldwide renowned photographs. The success of the label was short-lived however, due to disagreements among the founders in the late 80s leading to the end of its production. In 2008, Frankie’s Garage was revived and is now considered as a cult label that is known among fashion conscious people. Until today, Frankie’s bags have not lost their charm and bring back fresh memories and feelings of the 80s.
